Aber noch muss die Zahl der Geretteten übertrieben werden (nicht dass ich abwiegeln will), es sind wohl nur 30% der Amerikaner. Nach anderen Fotos zu urteilen war die Halle höchstens zu einem Drittel voll, ein schönes Sinnbild.

Trump ist der Messias. Bisher war das eine Verspottung durch seine Gegner, aber inzwischen muss man das wörtlich nehmen. Die Theologen sind unermüdlich. Hier der Klappentext zu dem Buch, von Amazon:

"Nur"? Was würden wir denn sagen, wenn in Deutschland 30% z.B. Höcke quasi-religiös verehren würde?
Das "nur" wäre beruhigend, wenn man sich darauf verlassen könnte, dass das Wahlsystem und die Justiz
dafür sorgten, dass solche Leute nicht (mehr) an die Macht kämen.
Inzwischen hege ich aber die Befürchtung, dass dieser Schutz in den USA nicht mehr existiert.
Sonderlich optimistisch ist mein Blick auf den kommenden November nicht.

Es gibt aber auch Kritik:

Ja, natürlich. Über die Formeln, mit denen Jesus sich bezeichnet, und was sie bedeuten sollen, zoffen sich die Theologen seit wenigstens 200 Jahren. Irgendwelche Bibelverse dazu anziehen kann buchstäblich jeder. Wer sich durchsetzt, hängt von den realen Gegebenheiten/Machtverhältnissen ab, nicht von der Weisheit der Interpretation. Der Trump-Messias ist eine evangelikale Sumpfblüte, und diesen Sumpf werden sie nicht trockenlegen.

Ich hatte bei den 1-Sterne-Rezensionen eigentlich mit etwas anderer Kritik gerechnet. Aber dass die so aussehen, zeigt, dass alles immer noch etwas schlimmer ist als vermutet.
