Wir unterschätzen auch die Amerikanische Bevölkerung, reden wir doch über ein Volk, das zu Zehntausend, ja hunderttausend kurz nach Trumps Wahl nach DC gegangen sind, um gegen Trump zu Demonstrieren.

Währen die Nasen alle wählen gegangen, dann hätten wir jetzt keinen Trump. Pfeifen!

Die Typen (allen voran sein Vize) sind eher noch schlimmer. Abgesehen davon rechne ich damit, dass die Beschränkung auf zwei Amtszeiten fallen wird.

Das könnte so ein Presse-Bias-Ding sein. Neulich war ein Freund zu Besuch, der in England lebt. Er hat hier deutsches Fernsehen konsumiert und war entsetzt, wie schlecht Großbritannien dargestellt wird. Mit seiner Lebensrealität hatte das nichts zu tun. Die Briten sehen ihre Lage viel optimistischer und sind wesentlich entspannter.

Das ist natürlich überhaupt nicht repräsentativ. Allerdings habe ich mit einigen Briten zu tun, beruflich und privat.

I asked her what we should we call it given that minors here are not allowed to leave. She said it was a shelter & kids didn't want to leave cause they were safe.

Gadi Schwartz sagt auch noch, dass die große Mehrzahl der Kinder allein gekommen ist und dass die mittlere Aufenthaltsdauer 47 Tage betrage. Er hatte auch den Eindruck, dass viele der Leute ernsthaft um die Kinder bemüht seien.

Sie durften nicht mit den Kindern reden, und sie durften keine Bilder machen.
