Das ist eine bewährte Methode. Zu Anfang dieser Präsidentschaft hatte die Kampfbarbie ja auch getönt, niemanden außer den Journalisten interessiere die Steuererklärung des Präsdenten. Und, hatte sie nicht recht?

Der Unterschied zu heute ist: damals war es eine theoretische Frage, ohne spürbare (oder nur höchst mittelbar spürbare) Auswirkungen auf den einzelnen.

Heute geht es um die Lebensfrage der Nation. They are doomed.

Die Diskussion hatte ich neulich. Mein Standpunkt ist, dass die US-Gesellschaft nachhaltig zerstört ist. Wenn es keine Wahrheiten mehr gibt, nur noch Meinungen und Glauben, dann gibt es keine gemeinsame Basis mehr. Diese 40% sind raus aus dem rationalen Diskurs.

Eine Demokratie ist so nicht mehr lebbar.

War das nicht das eigentliche Ziel der russischen Disruptionsbemühungen - ob sie nun stattgefunden haben oder nicht?
