Soweit ich das überblicke, sind die Meinungen sehr geteilt darüber, ob Pelosi gut daran tut, das Impeachmentverfahren zu verzögern.

Ein Aspekt dabei ist: Wenn das Impeachment innerhalb einer Viertelstunde im Senat abgeschmettert ist und Mr Trump seine nächsten Verfassungsverstöße begeht (und das wird unausweichlich kommen) - was werden sie dann tun?

Hier ein bisschen das Rationale, das hinter der Verzögerung stecken könnte (was ist schon rational).

Selbst wenn die Dems den Senat holen, wird es sicher nicht zu einer 2/3-Mehrheit reichen.

Hm, da die Medien voller emotionalisierter Verkürzungen und Überzeichnungen sind ist schwer zu sagen, was eigentlich der Wähler denkt. Sicher ist: Trump hat eine stabile Basis von ca. 30-35%. Diese Menschen sind durch seinen "Stil" und seine Versprechen begeistert und nicht erreichbar. Die Werte beim Impeachment sind dagegen 50:50, d.h. ca 20% sind nicht unbedingt für Trump, aber "für" die Präsidentalgewalt. Die "Verzögerung" bei der Weitergabe der Anlage hat nach anderen Spekulationen auch damit zu tun, dass Pelosi von der GOP die Zusage für neue/mehr Beweisaufnahmen will. Und genau hier ist ein Knackpunkt: Trump schreibt selbst, dass er "unfair" behandelt wurde, dass keine Entlastungszeugen/-beweise kamen. Das nehmen die Dems jetzt sicher als Aufhänger: Der Gop-dominierte Senat kann jetzt für "Fairness" sorgen oder das Ganze wie einen "Prozess" in einem "shithole country" einfach einstellen.

Bis zu Wahlen verzögern wird sie nicht machen, da dies ein offensichtliches Parteimanöver wäre. Es geht für mich nun mehr darum, wer zuerst blinzelt... und Nancy hat die Eier dafür :)
