Ich glaube nämlich auch, hätte man stets von Lupron gesprochen statt von Pubertäts-Pause-Tasten, wären evtl ein paar weniger Leute begeistert davon oder würden das verharmlosen.
ok, vielleicht hab ich als Fan von Kriminalistik, Kriminologie und True Crime hier auch einen kleinen Wissensvorsprung. Aber Lupron klingt zumindest schon mal als Chemiekeulen-Wort bisschen gefährlicher als die süßen Pubertätsblockerchen.

auch die Antihormontherapie hat keinen guten Klang für Brustkrebsfrauen - zumindest wird sie sehr oft abgebrochen wegen der zu starken Nebenwirkungen. Ich hab allein vom Zuhören schon immer einen gewaltigen Respekt vor solchen Medikamenten, gar nicht auszudenken, die jahrelang einnehmen zu müssen als jüngere Frauen.
Alles eher abschreckend.

Daher ab sofort wird das verniedlichende Wort Pubertätsblocker aus meinem Vokabular gestrichen.

Autor verschiedener Bücher, u.a. "Whipping Girl" und "Sexed up".

Es hat schon was für sich, wenn Autogynophile wie Serano darüber fabulieren, wie Mädchen und Frauen von der Gesellschaft sexualisiert werden.
