As far as I'm concerned: everything that fulfills the definition of scientic method as given by Merriam-Webster:

: principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses

Calling Esowatch an Überzeugungssystem would be your first fallacy. To even consider the idea Esowatch were irrational is your second.

A belief, when based on examination of factual evidence is rational. In all other cases it is not. A belief not based on fact but still cause for conviction is faith. Esowatch deals with issues on faith, belief and conviction not based on fact. The authors of Esowatch employ rational evaluation techniques to demonstrate irrational and fictional character of such systems, statements and beliefs that portrait a reality that differs dramatically from one supported by scientific evidence.

Someone may still choose to belief in whatever, however, Esowatch at least tried to make them aware of the irrationality their belief is based upon.
