Whenever someone starts touting accupuncture around me, I ask them "can you use accupuncture to get high?"
Huh?
"Yeah, you know, wasted? I mean, you can supposedly adjust practically any internal state with accupuncture - why not give me a healthy simulation of an alcohol high or maybe adjust my ch'i so that I've got an equivalent effect to eating some ecstacy?"

Of course, I'm kidding. But here's the truth: if accupuncture DID work, people would be using it to kill eachother, get wasted, or give themselves erections on demand. The reason they don't is simple: accupuncture doesn't work.
