Wie weit diese Leser die Thesen ernsthaft unterstützten, ist ebenso wenig bekannt wie auch, wie weit das Ganze überhaupt noch ernst gemeint war – auf jeden Fall erlangten die Thesen in dieser Zeit einige mediale Aufmerksamkeit.

Es dürfte also ziemlich fraglich sein, ob das ganze wirklich mehr ist als nur ein ziemlich seltsamer Witz.

Q: What is the ice wall?

Q: So what's the deal with the sun and moon?
A: The sun and moon are both about 32 miles in diameter and approximately 3000 miles above us (though many feel that the sun must be a bit higher than the moon).  They revolve above the equator around a common barycenter above the north pole.  See the second map above.  Both act as "spotlights" due to the density of the atmosphere, each only illuminating a fraction of the earth at any given time (explaining time zones).  The sun is said by some to give off hot light and the moon cold light.  However, not all FEers [Flat Earther, one who believes that the earth is flat.] agree that the moon radiates its own light.

They are also accelerating upwards along with the earth (as are the stars and planets).

Das klingt wie aus einem schlechten Fantasy-Buch ausgebrochen. Fast unvorstellbar, dass es kein Scherz ist. Aber andererseits, wenn man bedenkt, was manche Menschen an haarsträubendem Unsinn glauben, will ich nicht ausschließen, dass einige Leute das wirklih glauben.

(Vermutlich könnte ich einfach behaupten, das (leicht hässliche) Dobermann-Denkmal in Apolda zeige zwei Anubis-Wesen, die ihrem Kind die Grundlagen der Quantenmechanik beibringen, und sei daher Beweis meiner Anubis-Verschwörung, und irgendwer würde mir das nicht nur abnehmen, sondern es noch stolz selbst als einzige Wahrheit verkünden.)

Da ist doch irgendwie alles zu spät...
